There’s strength in our numbers.

Taxiician is the nation’s leading community for tax practitioners – from aspiring enrolled agents to experts with decades of experience. We meet you wherever you are on your career path. Taxician members are the tax practitioners involved in tax preparation and representation. The association promotes and embraces diversity among its members. Taxician provides member support; publications; data and information; and training and professional development to over 10,000 tax practitioners.

We are a powerful advocate for enrolled agents.

Taxician protects, promotes, and provides for the EA profession throughout the halls of government and beyond. We protect an EA’s right to practice and the taxpayer’s right to representation. Taxician identifies long-term trends and policy issues affecting enrolled agents and articulates the profession’s position through a variety of avenues, public and private. These positions are often shared with Taxician membership and DC decision-makers in the form of white papers.

Taxicianteam of staff is here for our members!

Working alongside the board of directors and committees, staff works to fulfill Taxician mission through advocacy, coordinating volunteers, planning member and public events, and much more. Michael Nelson (known as Mike) is the Interim Executive Vice President of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. He has over 35 years of experience in both private industry and the nonprofit sector. He recently left retirement to assist Taxician transition to new staff leadership.
